Waterloo man charged after Saturday morning domestic

On Saturday at about 1:30 am the Waterloo Police Department arrested Jacob M. Dixon, age 24 of 146 East Main Street apartment 2 in Waterloo, for obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, criminal mischief 4th degree and unlawful possession of marijuana.At about 1:00 am, police responded to Dixon’s residence for a report of a domestic altercation involving Dixon and his girlfriend. After police arrived on scene, Dixon intentionally interfered with the investigation and became physically confrontational with police before and while he was being taken into custody.At the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined Dixon did damage property inside the apartment during the dispute with his girlfriend and he was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.Dixon was arraigned in the Town of Tyre Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1000.00 bail. He is to reappear in the Village of Waterloo Court at a later date to answer to the charges and a class “A” order of protection was issued.
